1. Who We Are

WorkersPool ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at www.workerspool.com (the "Site"). We provide free online tools for employees, freelancers and solo entrepreneurs.

For the purpose of applicable privacy laws, WorkersPool is the data controller in respect of any personal information we process in connection with the Site.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at info@workerspool.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact form submissions: When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the reason for contact and the message content. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry.
  • Tool inputs: Inputs you enter into our calculator and generator tools (income figures, dates, names for letters, etc.) are processed in your browser. These inputs are not transmitted to or stored on our servers in any persistent form.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Log data: Our web hosting provider automatically records standard server log information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited and timestamps. This data is used for security, troubleshooting and server capacity planning. We do not use log data to identify individuals.
  • Cookies: We and our third-party partners (Google AdSense, analytics providers) use cookies and similar tracking technologies. See Section 4 and 5 for full details.
  • Analytics data: We collect aggregated usage data (page views, session duration, device/browser type, geographic region at country level). We do not collect data that identifies you as an individual through analytics.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect financial account numbers, credit card numbers, social insurance or social security numbers, or any government-issued identification.
  • We do not build profiles of individual users.
  • We do not collect sensitive personal data (health, biometric, political or religious information).

3. How Tool Data Is Handled

The majority of WorkersPool tools run entirely within your browser. When you enter data into a calculator or generator:

  • The calculations and outputs are performed locally in your browser using JavaScript.
  • Your inputs are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored between sessions. When you close or refresh the browser tab, the data is gone.
  • Tool results displayed on screen exist only in your browser session.

AI-powered tools: Some tools (such as letter generators, script generators and professional bio tools) use AI to generate text. For these tools, the inputs you provide (name, job title, situation description, etc.) are transmitted via an encrypted HTTPS connection to the AI service provider's API to generate the output. This data is subject to the AI provider's own data processing terms. We use these features to generate the requested output and do not retain the content of AI-generated requests on our servers.

Print and copy features: When you use the Print or Copy functions, content is processed locally in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to our servers.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser at the request of websites you visit. We use the following types of cookies:

Managing cookies: You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling advertising cookies will not prevent ads from being shown, but ads may be less relevant to your interests. Disabling all cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of the Site. For guidance on cookie management, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.

5. Google AdSense Advertising

WorkersPool is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. By displaying ads, we are able to provide our tools free of charge to all users.

How Google AdSense Works

  • Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other sites on the internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

What WorkersPool Does Not Do

  • We do not control which specific ads Google shows on our pages.
  • We do not receive any personal data from Google about individual users who see or click ads.
  • We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or to Google.
  • Advertising does not influence the content, results or recommendations produced by any WorkersPool tool.

Google's full privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Analytics

We use website analytics to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate — which pages are popular, which tools are used most, and how visitors navigate the site. This helps us improve the quality and usefulness of our tools.

  • Analytics data is collected in aggregated, anonymised form. We do not use analytics to identify individual users.
  • We collect data such as: page URL visited, referral source, browser type, device type, screen resolution, session duration, and country-level geographic region.
  • We do not collect: full IP addresses (where IP masking is available), names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information through analytics.
  • Analytics data is retained for a rolling period as required for operational purposes and is not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Contact Form Data

When you submit a message through our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, subject/reason, and message content. This information is:

  • Used only to respond to your enquiry.
  • Delivered to our inbox at info@workerspool.com via the server's mail function.
  • Not added to any mailing list or marketing database.
  • Not shared with third parties.
  • Retained for a reasonable period to allow follow-up communication, after which it is deleted.

Our contact form includes a honeypot field (invisible to human users) to reduce automated spam submissions. No personal data from legitimate submissions is used for any purpose other than replying to your message.

8. Third-Party Links

Our tools and content may contain links to external websites, including links to official government tax authority websites, employment standards resources, and professional body websites.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any site you visit from a link on WorkersPool. Inclusion of a link does not constitute endorsement of the linked site or its operators.

9. Children's Privacy

WorkersPool is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@workerspool.com and we will promptly delete that information.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right What It Means
Access Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
Correction Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Deletion Request deletion of personal data we hold (subject to legal obligations to retain certain data).
Objection Object to our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Portability Request your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format (where technically feasible).

Because most tool interactions involve no server-side data storage, we hold very little personal data about any given user. The personal data we are most likely to hold about you is the content of any contact form submission you have sent us.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@workerspool.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Canadian users (PIPEDA / provincial privacy laws): You have the right to access your personal information and to request corrections. Contact us as above.
UK/EU users (UK GDPR / GDPR): If you are not satisfied with our handling of your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk (UK) or your local supervisory authority (EU).
California residents (CCPA): You have additional rights including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to draw attention to the update (such as placing a notice on the Site for a period of time).

Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
